Uday Dahia – The Laughing Phenomena!

Uday Dahia, the Finalist Of ‘Laughter Challenge’, has a mind boggling personality. He is blessed with the art of inducing laughter into his audience and with the art of constructive influence with his inimitable mimics. He has etched a very special place for himself amongst the Stand-up-Comedians.

Uday Dahia hails from the serene town of Pipariya in Madhya Pradesh. He was already a star during his schooling, as he entertained his school with very own style of mimicking his loving teachers and many of the stars from bollywood. His debut stage performance was in the year 1990 and from then on, it has been a journey of milestones.

Mr. Dahia reached the stage of ‘Finalists’ in ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ on Star TV. This was followed by the Sahara TV’s Show ‘Comedy Champion’. The success of these shows made him one of the most sought after comedy artists of the small screen. ‘Acting Ki Funshala’ on Sab TV was yet another feather in his cap. Then he was invited to participate in India TV’s comedy show, ‘Just Laugh Baki Maaf’, in which he made his viewers burst into peels of laughter. Now he was a known face on TV and his viewers started connecting and also relentlessly waiting for his shows on Star TV, ‘Hello Kaun Pehchan Kaun’. The band wagon of his shows included ‘Yeh Chanda Kanoon Hai’( Sab TV), Lapataganj (Sab TV). His greatest recognition came when he was invited as a Judge on the show titled ‘Moujaru’ which was aired at ETV Bengala and ‘Hansi Ka Tadka’ aired on Mahua TV. He has performed on Television’s First Live Super Star show ‘CINTAA SUPERSTAR KA Jalwa on Star plus. He received fantastic reviews and was greatly accepted by the audience. He also essayed a role in the film, ‘Bhavanao Ko Samjho’ directed by Sunil Pal.

Apart from the TV shows, he has been continuously travelling across India and abroad, with his messages through Comedy Stage shows, thus making him an International Stand-up-Comedian. His very famous numbers such as 'Sarsarate ja rahe’, ‘Drum’, ‘Flat’, ‘Mobile’, ‘Kalu kalu ke bappu’, which is his own Hindi version of "Jhonny Jhonny, Yes pappa". The audience have always asked for more of his famous liners. These liners almost work like the hot line connection with people across geographical boundaries.

Uday Dahia has also performed for a large number, in the corporate sector and also for different brands. Though the list is endless, these are a few of them: Berger Paints, Black Dog Whisky, Toyota, Ramoji Film City, Reliance India, Essar, Airtel, TATA Motors, Asian paints, ICICI Bank and so on.
